Jensen, along with Mom and Dad, got an upgrade today. They are still in NICU, but in the private suite…well that may be an exaggeration. You see the module they are in within NICU has 10 “stations”. It is a rectangle room with 5 stations on the right and 4 on the left. The left side has a sink area in the middle that takes the place of a station. So the tenth station is a 10 by 10 room off the back left, and it has a big glass window. It has less equipment in it. Jensen’s original station was on the right in the back, and they needed it for another baby that was worse off. So Jensen was moved to the “back room”. That is really nice though because unlike the original station, Jeff and Anna can stay the night on recliners that are in there. This is the first night that they have both stayed the night (or maybe a partial night) with Jensen.
Jensen’s condition has not changed much. His breathing is still so fast that he has trouble breathing and nursing. That is why they feed him through a nasal tube most of the time. He does need to gain weight now; he is still around 7 lbs, and has lost about 9oz the past three weeks. That seems reasonable to me, but now it the time to be putting it on. I know in this society, that the prayer of weight gain doesn’t get prayed much, but join with us in that. Let us all pray for a considerable weight gain, and then we can all glorify Jesus together as we see that happen! Those that know me know my favorite prayer is very simple “more Lord”. That is more than appropriate here. MORE LORD!
