Friday in the early morning hours Jeff reported that Jenson was not doing as well and they had to put him on a ventilator. They also had tried to put in a picc line in his arm and also tried a leg, without success. They were giving him morphine for the pain in his arm and leg. Also sedation for the vent.
By afternoon, Jensen was looking much better. In the evening they took the ventilator out. He was breathing very fast, which is what babies do. It is good for him to be off of the vent so he can learn to breath on his own.
Jeff and Anna went home for the first time and stayed with Sophia for the night.
