Jensen is out of his two and a half hour surgery. They installed a shunt which is gortex and looks like white plastic. The surgeon was pleased with the results and sent Jensen to PICU. Jensen finally got his own room! There is enough equipment to take care of 2 or 3 people it seems like. I took some pictures but until I get home I can not upload them. At one time there was about 6 doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists hovering and buzzing around. He is very closely watched just out of surgery. It is a critical time of course, but he is in good hands. We are not sure how long he will be in PICU where he can be monitored closer by a cardiologist. He may be there a week, we are not sure, but then will go back to NICU.
Jeff and Anna are doing good, and the room has two nice chairs and is big enough to hang around without getting in the way.I'll put some pictures on later tonight. Please keep praying for stability, and for his lungs too. There is no specific problems with his lungs, just a critical time for them with the circulation change.
